There is only one species in this order. Aaardvarks (Orycteropus afer) are found in Sub-Saharan Africa. Aardvarks have pig-like bodies; a long, cylyndrical snout; long, sticky tongues; long, rabbit-like ears; and a long, thick, pointed tail.
Aaarvarks are 5-7 feet in length from the tip of their nose to the end of their tail. They and weigh 90-140 pounds.
Aaarvarks use their long, sticky tongues to get ants and termites out of their mounds.
